Wizkid – Morayo | Album Download

Morayo dropped on 22 November 2024 via RCA Records in partnership with Starboy Entertainment. The title Morayo is deeply personal: it’s the middle name of Wizkid‘s mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun. The album is dedicated to her life and legacy. Stylistically, Morayo walks the line between introspection and celebration: Wizkid explores grief, gratitude, love, urban life, healing, and joy. The genre blend is primarily Afrobeats, with strong R&B leanings, touches of soul, neo-R&B, and occasional multilingual flavor.
Wizkid’s production collaborators include P2J (he handles several tracks), as well as AoD, Ari PenSmith, The Elements, P.Priime, and others. The lyrical content often shifts between somber and uplifting—some songs deal with loss, others with dancing, love, romance, personal reflection and resilience. The cover art, the title, even some intros (e.g. fújì legend Kwam 1 appearing) reflect Wizkid’s desire to honor his roots and his mother’s influence.
