Cardi B: ‘Drama Don’t Like Me, It Just Follows’ — Why Controversy Trails My Every Move

When recently confirmed she is pregnant with her first child with NFL star Stefon Diggs, she spoke candidly about a truth many already sensed: She may not seek out drama, but controversy gravitates toward her. In a CBS interview, the rapper reflected on how her “big personality,” her “mouth,” and the aura she gives makes her a frequent target for public scrutiny.

She admitted that despite disliking drama, certain things simply follow certain people — including herself. Cardi joked a little about being voted “most dramatic” in high school yearbooks, admitting she was surprised then too.

“I didn’t think I was that much drama. When I was in high school and I was voted most dramatic in my high school yearbook, I was surprised. I don’t like drama, it just follows me. Sometimes, certain things just followed certain people,” Cardi B tells CBS.

“When you have like a big personality like me or when you have a mouth like me or whatever aura that I give, it [drama] will follow you because it makes you like an easier target. I don’t like drama. It stresses me.”
